17 Jan Infrastructure Improvements Water Plant Ceremony
The City of Alamo is undertaking a major rehabilitation project for its water plant as part of its commitment to providing the highest quality water to residents. The project includes applying a protective coating system to the two (2) existing clarifiers, a crucial step in extending the life and efficiency of the plant’s infrastructure.
This multi-phase initiative also includes the construction of new water filters for the existing 5.0 million-gallon-per-day (MGD) plant. Additionally, the City of Alamo plans to install a state-of-the-art SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system, incorporating the latest technology to optimize operations and maintain superior water quality.
