More improvements coming soon to Alamo! At a recent Alamo Board of Commissioners meeting, updates were provided on several key infrastructure projects being worked on around the city. These projects include the repaving of Tower Road, the rehabilitation of Ridge Road, the purchase of two new fire trucks, Alamo Road drainage improvements, and more! Progress is being made to complete these projects as soon as possible in order to keep providing improvements to our wonderful community!

En una reunión reciente de la Junta de Comisionados de Alamo, se dieron actualizaciones sobre varios proyectos de infraestructura que se están trabajando en la ciudad. ¡Estos proyectos incluyen la repavimentación de Tower Road, la rehabilitación de Ridge Road, la compra de dos nuevos camiones de bomberos, mejoras en el drenaje de Alamo Road y más! ¡Se está avanzando para completar estos proyectos lo antes posible para seguir brindando mejoras a nuestra maravillosa comunidad!
TOWER ROAD RE-PAVING PROJECT:
The City of Alamo is working with vendors to complete a quote to allow for additional upgrades such as manhole covers, etc. Once the quote is completed the project will go out for bids so that work can begin.
La ciudad de Alamo está trabajando con proveedores para completar una cotización que permita mejoras adicionales, como tapas de alcantarillas, etc. Una vez que se complete la cotización, el proyecto puede continuar.
13TH STREET DRAINAGE PROJECT:
The City of Alamo is awaiting the completion of grant award by the Texas General Land Office. Once the process is complete, work can begin on the project.

SEWER PLANT PROJECT
This project was funded by the Texas Water Development Board. Work is currently being completed to power up the Sewer plant.

WATER TREATMENT PLANT REHAB PROJECT
This project was funded by EPA. The project is currently moving forward. The project engineer was approved by the Alamo Board of Commissioners their regular meeting on 06/20/23.

BONITA ESTATES SEWER PROJECT
The City of Alamo has issued a notice to proceed and work has already begun on the project.

MORNING SIDE SOUTH EST. SEWER PROJECT
Work is currently underway on the project. The City of Alamo is working with several different organizations to fix issues in the area.

ALAMO ROAD DRAINAGE PROJECT
The City of Alamo is working together with TxDOT on the project. TxDOT is currently reviewing a request to remove an existing gate valve and install new drainagemanholes. This will help maintain the area and will allow TxDOT to learn additional information on the drainage system.
La Ciudad de Alamo está trabajando junto con TxDOT en el proyecto. TxDOT actualmente está revisando una solicitud para eliminar una válvula de compuerta existente e instalar nuevos pozos de drenaje. NEBRASKA ROAD DRAINAGE PROJECT
Bid opening for the project occurred on June 15 with work scheduled to begin soon.

RIDGE ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT
An interlocal agreement with Hidalgo County Precinct 2 was approved by the Alamo Board of Commissioners during their regular meeting on 06/20/23 with work scheduled to begin soon.

PURCHASE OF TWO FIRE TRUCKS
The ordinance for funding was approved by the Alamo Board of Commissioners during their regular meeting on 06/20/23.

MOORE REHABILITATION PROJECT
The City of Alamo is currently coordinating with Hidalgo County Precinct 2 to schedule the project.
