2020 City of Alamo Watermelon Festival and BBQ Cook Off Canceled

It is with great regret that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, the City of Alamo will be cancelling the 8th Annual Watermelon Festival and BBQ Cook-off that was scheduled for Saturday, May 9th, 2020. Mayoral Declaration of Local State of Disaster

On Friday, March 20, Mayor Diana Martinez signed a Mayoral Declaration of Local State of Disaster Due to Public Health Emergency. It will stay in effect until April 3rd, 2020.


Library Closed Til Further Notice

ATTENTION! Our library will be closing at noon today (3/23/2020) and will remain closed to the public until further notice. Any books being returned can be placed in the book drop and our staff will periodically be collecting them throughout the day.

City Commission Issues Emergency Declaration As Precaution
