The City of Alamo museum hosted a special screening and discussion of the ‘Uvas No’ and ‘Capturing LUPE’ documentaries! The documentaries detail the actions taken by civil rights leaders like Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta to improve the lives of farm workers as they diligently pursued and endured hardships to demand the stop of harmful pesticides, better wages, working conditions, and restrooms in the fields. Attendees even got a chance to ask questions from those directly involved in the fight. The event was hosted in partnership with La Union del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) and the Center for Mexican American Studies at UTRGV.

¡El museo de la Ciudad de Alamo organizó una proyección especial de los documentales ‘Uvas No’ y ‘Capturing LUPE’! Los documentales detallan las acciones tomadas por líderes de derechos civiles como César Chávez y Dolores Huerta para mejorar la vida de los trabajadores agrícolas mientras soportaban dificultades para exigir mejores salarios, condiciones de trabajo y baños en los campos. Los asistentes incluso tuvieron la oportunidad de hacer preguntas de aquellos directamente involucrados en la pelea. El evento fue organizado en colaboración con La Unión del Pueblo Entero (LUPE) y el Centro de Estudios Mexicano Americanos de la UTRGV.
