During yesterday’s Board of Commissioners Meeting, City Commissioners proclaimed Tuesday, May 18th, 2022, as James Dale Earnest Day. His son Scott was presented the Proclamation. James Dale Earnest proudly served as a member to the 1st Aviation Brigade, 175th Assault Helicopter Company during Vietnam. James Dale Earnest has received many awards and decorations including Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, Expert Marksmanship and Aviator Flight Wings.
